Nutrition-Exercise Connection

You have a goal in mind. It may be to simply feel better; for many, it is to be in better shape. No matter your goal, diet and nutrition can be a serious barrier to your ability to achieve the outcomes you desire.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE EATING?

Mindless eating, multitasking and just a simple lack of knowledge can lead to wide discrepancy between your actual diet and your image of it.

Put pen to paper, or fingers to a keypad, and track your diet to gain a real understanding of your current habits.

Start with tracking your consumption habits for one week. At the end of the week, access your diet and note areas for improvement. This glimpse at reality can set the stage for real change!

GET BALANCED

When it comes to weight loss, the problem lies when there is an overwhelming amount of caloric intake not balanced with expenditure.

With that said, do not restrict yourself to a low amount of food. Extreme dieting can cause damage to your metabolism, mental and emotional health, bone health, and cardiovascular system.

YOU CAN'T OUT EXERCISE A BAD DIET

There are no secrets or quick fixes.

“Genetics loads the gun. Lifestyle pulls the trigger. The ideal way to be the best you can be, based on your genetics, is to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle."
